"NIGHT MOVES", group exhibit/ curator. Safe-T-Gallery and Farmani
Gallery, Brooklyn, NY. March 5-April 11, 2009.
Curated by Daryl-Ann Saunders and Jill Waterman, the photographic works of
thirteen artists who toil under cloak of darkness will be featured in Night
Moves, a group exhibition of night photography, from March 5 through April
11, 2009 in the neighboring spaces of Safe-T-Gallery (Night Moves:
Exploring The Horizon) and Farmani Gallery (Night Moves: Angles of View).
Daryl-Ann's subway work from Shanghai, China will be in the Safe-T-Gallery
exhibit. All are invited to the opening reception on Thursday, March 5 from 6
to 8pm, when many of the exhibiting artists will be in attendance. The opening
reception will coincide with Dumbo's First Thursday Gallery Walk which occurs
the first Thursday of each month.
Additional events:
March 9: a night photography symposium will be held in conjunction with B&H
Photo from 10:30 - 4:30 pm.
March 15 and March 21: the co-curators offer a night photography workshop in
collaboration with Adorama Workshops.
March 29: from 2 - 4:30pm, a gallery talk with the curators and local
artists in attendance will be held in the galleries.
